Last Sunday, nine gymnasts from Waiheke went to town for their first competition of the year. At the Eastern Suburbs mini tramp and tumbling competition gymnasts were required to do two compulsory tumbling passes and two optional minitramp vaults.
Coaches can choose which level to enter the gymnasts in based on ability rather than age and each level was also divided into two groups, one being less competitive than the other. In level one, the club entered three gymnasts, two of whom were competition novices.
