Players from the U13 girls rippa team went to Te Puru park for week one of a six week tournament organised by Counties Manukau.
With teams from Ardmore Marist, Beachlands Maraetai Orange and Beachlands Maraetai Blue renamed Supergirls, Wondergirls and Batgirls respectively, the Waiheke team was delighted to be re-christened the Powergirls. • Juliette Moon
