Swimming legend Jono Ridler will begin an unprecedented 1,000-mile (1609km) swim from North Cape to Wellington in January – a world-record breaking endurance attempt aimed at uniting the country around a healthier ocean and a clear call to end bottom trawling.

Swim4The Ocean will see Jono attempt to swim the entire east coast of the North Island in long, rotating shifts over roughly 90 days.
