Thor Bayer posted a message online asking if there were volunteers to take the pieces of his soon-to-be demolished house. To his surprise the response was fast and a month of periodically seeing people coming to pick up his old house’s materials followed.
Business developer Thor is moving houses, literally. He and his family have lived on and off the island since 2001 and have decided to stay for good next year.
However, the Little Oneroa house they were in wasn’t the best choice for a full-time residency, so he decided to demolish it. The building was getting too cold and showing signs of humidity.
