Roadworks to widen Putiki Road have gone ahead but what has become increasingly a commercial thoroughfare will have to wait for spring to get its final seal, Auckland Transport says.
The Putiki bypass carriageway will spend the rest of the winter kerbed and channelled but unsealed, the council-controlled organisation says, blaming the early onset of winter for the hold on final work. • Liz Waters
