As Gulf News went to press on Wednesday morning, drama was playing out on the rocks off Matiatia Bay where owner Ari Vanderschoot and Ben Vroom were dealing with their 70-foot Rosalie Clare being driven aground following Tuesday night’s storm. The yacht has been central to their Sea Stewardship program that has worked across the Pacific and, over the past two years, in the Hauraki Gulf.
