More than 50 people danced to the tunes of Scottish music during an annual event at Oneroa’s Morra Hall recently. Hosted by Waiheke’s own Scottish Country Dancing Club, dancers from Auckland joined club members for afternoon of energetic fun, footwork and lively entertainment.

The local club’s tutor, Shirley Butler, says the event that has been celebrated on the motu for 40 years and is a chance to showcase the hard work of all the dancers who regularly come together to practise the steps. Scottish country dancing is a social form of dance with two or more couples of dancers.
