Wider footpaths, extended shelter, a raised pedestrian crossing and an improved bus stop are among the upgrades being investigated as part of the Mātiatia keyhole project.
Auckland Transport recently briefed the Waiheke Local Board on progress, two years after the need to upgrade the ‘keyhole’ area around the Mātiatia Ferry Terminal were first floated. AT shared its high-level plans for the upgrade with terminal building commercial tenants, bus and ferry operators and other businesses with an interest in Mātiatia.
