The Waiheke U90kg Rams were crowned champions of the six team open age restricted weight Auckland Rugby League competition on Saturday when they beat the Mt Albert Mad Dogs at Cornwall Park. Although their opposition had finished on top of the table by four points over Waiheke, the Rams had convincingly beaten them in the semi final and earned themselves an extra weeks rest prior to the weekend’s big dance.
